Lot 645 Smith & Wesson Model 686-4 .357 Mag. #BRD8653
American made six shot double action revolver chambered for .357 Magnum, manufactured in Springfield, MA. The Model 686-4 was introduced circa 1993. Revolver features stainless steel construction, 6" barrel with serrated sighting rib, fluted six-shot cylinder, shrouded ejector rod, full underlug, smooth curved combat trigger, serrated ramped blade front sight with orange insert, micrometer adjustable rear sight with white outline, firing pin on hammer nose, checkered hammer spur, checkered cylinder release, ten-groove serrated grip straps, three-screw square butt 'L' target frame, and checkered walnut grips with gold-colored S&W medallions. The stainless steel finish retained is approximately 99% with only superficial blemishes, and a faint drag line on the cylinder. Metal displays not rust, or deformation. Bore is bright with strong rifling, and the cylinder chambers are excellent, but dirty. Action is smooth and crisp with a tight lock-up. Grips appear 'like-new' with a very small blemish behind the trigger guard, and a couple of nicks around the bottom edge of the grip panels.
